Memories from My first year in SL

• Learning that I had to buy an animation over-rider so I would not walk around in trademark noob style. For those of you non- second lifers, that means you pretty much walk around like a stick is shoved up your butt.
• Remember that funny car they had you drive on help island? Yeah 2 1/2 years later I still cannot drive a car. I can however pogo stick to my hearts content.
• Camping.... oh those were the days lol. I remember camping at the dancing pads at a place called Goldbar or something like that. While I have not been to goldbar or whatever it's name is, in years. I did however make a new friend that I still have to this day Geovonnie.
• Buying skins and hair. Good grief and if you don't mess around with your shape when you do buy a new skin. You look funky. Since then I have gotten very good at making shapes. Hair, I gotta say I love the ones with the resize feature. Those are such a time saver.
  
• The dance animations.... holy crap... is that ever an addiction of mine.
• I remember accidentally deleting a script in my very, first chim. Thus killing it. RIP my first chim.
• Having a job at the one and only Carnage in the mornings, and also meeting some wonderful people: Kepi, Damien, Purplemoon, Tippi, Strayn & Caemlyn. People I still see and talk to on a daily basis.
• Being addicted to those oh so wonderful sploders, which moved on to being addicted to zyngo.
  
• Getting a castle... yes a castle. YAY!!! I've officially moved up in this world, being I now have a home. Well crap... sim was deleted and thus I lost the castle including everything I had put in it.
  
• Got a new house... thought it was super cool... had all this water in it... after 2 weeks decided that was too much money to be spending to have a home.
• Back to making my home at the Dollar Mall. Y'all remember that place? Pretty cool.
• My rl husband Jt and I play sl together, because that is how we wanted it to be. Before too long he knew as much if not more than what I did.
• Jt found a new club and tp'd me (that's like a taxi ride to non-sl players), the club was Psycho Drive... there we met another rl couple who play sl together Cheyene & Road.
  
• Most of our time was spent hanging out at Psycho Drive... we liked the crowd, we liked the atmosphere, but mostly we liked Cheyene & Road, whom we quickly adopted as our sissy and bro.
• I'm leaving out the whole Paine in my ass months... but boy I sure learned there are some mentally unstable people in second life, and with that I'm shushing.
• Meeting another rl couple Cane & Kris, they are also the first people we talked with on Skype. I love listening to their accents, and hearing about the antics of their furbabies... well big furbabies the chows.
• Learning the hard lesson that cheap doesn't always mean good. Which is why I went from wearing my first fatpack to one of the shiny skins. Ok the shiny skins didn't last long... I felt icky, unclean, just well too oily.
• Buying every hair I liked from Gurlworld. I still love that store.
• My first pair of boots I got from Deja vu, the 2nd pair I bought from Minx. I still like those boots.
• Going through those stargates things with my friend Geo. Then being approached by some egyptian dog looking guy who asked if I was looking for work. Geo is im-ing saying "just walk away, it's a slave driver guy" Or something to that effect, point being... I tp'd outta there quick. Stargates are still cool I think.
• Grendels OMG if y'all have not been there what the hell. I got my first dragon avatar... then I went and got a bunch of the drakelets. Thought that was awesome being I can make the drakelets talk. Teehee and yes I make them talk smack too.
• Jt got his new computer and now he is able to dj. Yay something he's been wanting to do since we started sl. Our sis Regan took us under her wing, and turned Jt loose on the mic. Dayum my baby is an awesome dj. I'm proud of him.
• I was lead dancer/manager at Regan's club Pink Parts. This club was our first, major, job. Our learning experience if you will, because of that I learned how to Host, and Jt learned how to dj.
• I did have a twin in game... worked extra hard on that shape too. We even bought matching clothes, matching hair, and matching skins. Was fun. Even went to Slurgis all twin'd out, and had fun.
• I got really good at editing the itty, bitty, prims on jewelry. However.... I suck butt at editing boots. Darnit.... killed that pair of boots.
• Got my first weapon today, after Pink Parts was attacked by griefers. I tp'd home cuz well I didn't want my av to get fubared.
• Yes I now have a Quantum Core.... mess with me fools.... I dare ya.
• Meeting 2 very awesome people... Marvel & Anaka. I remember when first meeting them at Pink Parts, I thought Anaka looked like Avril Lavigne.
• Also had a noob walk in today, but we LOVED her attitude.... she's so freakin funny and just keeps us in stitches... her name is Water.
• I helped Water with her shape, gave her a shape I had made previously and told her just to edit it around to her liking... ooooh she likes to shop? Yay new shopping buddy!!!
• We brought Anaka & Marv over to our home, after showing them my photography studio. Which was a purple metal building that Regan made. I love it. I was showing Marv & Anaka the thing on my quantum core which makes your head go up your butt. SHIT I gotta reboot... I'm freakin' stuck with my head up my ass... thank god avs don't crap. lol We stayed up that night talking on voice with Marv & Anaka until 7 am rl time for us. Was great.
• Regan knows I am morbid... extremely morbid. So for my bachelorette party, she got this Heaven & Hell thing, and to get to it... your head has to be chopped off by a guillotine. LMFAO. So of course I decided lets go to hell... I'm always told to go there anyway.. so I wanna see it. Water came with us too, and some other ladies, my brain is fuzzy can't remember exactly who was there or not. I do not at one point we had put on these penis tiara's and was some horny wildbeasts in hell. Good times and still makes me crack the hell up.
  
• The day has arrived March 23, 2008... mine and Jt's rl 5 yr anniversary and also the day we chose to have our wedding in sl. Our friends Paddy & Coral made the wedding set for us... and Paddy officiated the ceremony. Jt and I wrote our own vows, had my best girls standing up with me for my day, and Jt had his best guy friends. Cane gave me away, was funny cuz when Paddy asked who gives the woman away? Well Cane didn't say anything...... for atleast 2 mins which is the equivalent of about 30 mins in sl... we were dying laughing in rl, finally Jt asks Cane.. Can I have my wife bro? To which my Canebro said Yeps lol
• Our rl nephew/godson started playing SL with us about a month before. Jettt is too freakin' funny. He's always tp-ing me and my bud Skilar to Booty's. Where we go dance, and I remember one time some homefry was trying to hit on me, and Jettt said "Man back up that's my rl GODMAMA!"
• So Jt bought me a car an Aston Martin (sp?) black with pink ground effects... its so purty.... but I swear I find water EVERYTIME I drive the sucker. Y'all ever have to pick your car up to put it back in your inventory? Why in the hell does it always come apart and THEN you gotta pick up pieces? This is precisely why I don't drive lol. However I did Skiboo (Skilars) profile pic with her on it... turns out that car is a pretty snazzy photo prop.
• In that years time... I learned how to rez, how to edit, how to edit linked parts, how to use my Quantum Core, how to load up new dances in my chim without murdering the darn thing, and a little bit of laying new textures down in my house. I've also met some wonderful people that I hope I'll be friends with for a long time: Mave, Water, Anaka, Marvel, Regan, Cheyene, Road, Iceman, Skilar, Damien, Kepi, Geovonnie, Strayn, Tippi, Galaxy, and numerous others. Second Life is pretty fun after all!!!
